Welcome to the website, for Meirzah Golden Retrievers! My name is Stormy Washington and my husband is Scott Washington. We are located very close to Knoxville, TN in the East Tennessee area. Here at Meirzah Goldens, every litter is carefully planned and thought out, with not only ourselves and the future of our bloodline in mind, but also, each and every family that we choose, to share their lives, with one of our wonderful Goldens. As preservation breeders, everything we do, is with both the Golden Retriever breed standard, and the betterment of the breed in mind. Although we do strive to produce show dogs, our main focus is on health, longevity, biddability, sound structure, and predictable Golden temperaments.

We currently have two female show/breeding prospects; Adara and Nava. Adara and Nava both currently have all of their OFA clearances. Nava gave us two beautiful litters and will not be bred again. We are currently raising and showing two of Nava's daughters, Melina and Aria, but they will not be bred until they are at least 24 months old, and have all of their OFA clearances. Melina will turn 24 months on 05/25/2026, and Aria on 01/24/2027. We are hoping for two litters from Adara, so you can stay tuned for that. Adara is currently pregnant and due the first week of January 2025.

We believe in the GRCA Code of Ethics with all our hearts. All of our Golden Retrievers will have extensive health testing prior to being added to our breeding program and we require the same from any stud that we choose to carry on our lines with. The GRCA provides puppy referral as a convenience to puppy buyers to find out about breeders who are GRCA members and their litters. GRCA takes no responsibility whatsoever for any puppies/dogs that you may acquire through GRCA puppy referral. GRCA is not responsible for any breeder’s sale practices and sales contracts, nor will GRCA be involved in any manner in contract disputes between puppy buyers and breeders. Availability of puppies and conditions of sale are at the sole discretion of the individual breeder. Buyers are encouraged to read ACQUIRING A GOLDEN RETRIEVER, as found on the grca.org website, for general information about obtaining a puppy, to take as much time as necessary to locate a reputable breeder from whom they feel comfortable purchasing a puppy, and to investigate breeders and their puppies thoroughly before committing to a purchase. You are not obligated to purchase a puppy from the breeders whose names you obtain from GRCA puppy referral.
